SBA: New Authority Will Bolster Women-Owned Small Businesses

The SBA, US Small Business Administration recently posted a press release about a new program. This program directly impacts opportunities for women-owned small businesses who have an interested in working with the federal contracting marketplace.

Effective October 14, 2015, this rule will level the playing field for women-owned small businesses across the federal contracting marketplace.

“Women-owned businesses are growing three times faster than their counterparts, yet the federal government has not achieved its goal of awarding 5 percent of federal contracts to women.
