In early March, GROW was fortunate to host 5 Russian Delegates, who are part of the Open World Leadership Center and the Colleagues International organization (in Kalamazoo). These women are also Entrepreneurs who spent time.
The ‘Open World Leadership Center’, the first and only international exchange program sponsored by the legislative branch of government (and funded through the Library of Congress).
These delegates (and entrepreneurs) arrived in DC for two days of orientation and then their entire US experience was in Kalamazoo. They were hosted in the homes of local residents.
In Russia today, as in many countries, gender equality in business still has a lot of room for growth. This program focuses on women innovators and business leaders. Delegates explore the U.S. experience in entrepreneurial education, university start-ups and the role of government, private enterprises, professional organizations and communities in promoting, sustaining and incentivizing entrepreneurship.
We were thrilled to have them visit our office and learn about our work.
