We are thrilled to announce the winners of our 2019 Seeds of Growth Awards. These wonderful and powerful women are true examples of all that GROW stands for. Congratulations to you ladies! You have all made an impact on the community, on women entrepreneurs, and the work that we do here at GROW.


Sonali Allen, Mercantile Bank of Michigan
LeAnne Moss Service Award, Volunteer of the Year

Sonali has been a volunteer with GROW for 18 years. Most recently she serves as a class facilitator for the Small Business Growth and Planning: Financial Awareness cluster sessions 1 and 2. She’s been a part of the GROW Lending Committee since 2018. She has donated her time to help GROW clients understand how personal financial statements, credit scores, and tax returns can affect their businesses. She has more than 40 volunteer hours this year alone.  She is the Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance & Community Development Officer at Mercantile Bank of Michigan.

Ana Olson, Los Amigos Mexican Grill
Leadership Award Winner

Ana owns Los Amigos Mexican Bar & Grill in Muskegon. She was born and raised in Mexico. As an immigrant herself, she works tirelessly to improve inclusion and support for minority owned businesses throughout Muskegon. She is on the Board of Directors for Latinos Working For the Future, a non-profit organization seeking to unify and organize the growing Latinx population of the greater Muskegon area. They coordinate an annual Muskegon County Latino Festival and have coordinated events such as the Latino College Fair at Muskegon Community College and the Dia De Los Muertos 5K Run/Walk. Ana is working to create an inclusion, diversity and quality committee at the Muskegon Chamber. She was recently recognized by the Hispanic Latino Commission of Michigan


Theresa Mosley, Mosley School of Cosmetology
Business of the Year

Theresa Mosley is a devoted wife, mother, successful entrepreneur and the owner of the State of Michigan licensed and accredited, Mosley School of Cosmetology. A vision brought to reality in 2000, Mosley School of Cosmetology, has created an avenue for women and men of all ethnicities and economic standing to pursue their dream of working in the cosmetology field. Mosley’s unique programs are taught by professional skilled instructors on the proper care and techniques for every hair type. Students who dream of becoming a hairstylist, makeup artist, barber, esthetician or nail technician, can fully utilize the school. Knowing the difficulties that students may face, Theresa provides scholarships, plans, and resources geared to help students succeed post-graduation. The award-winning cosmetology school is set to expand in January 2020. Mosley’s School of Cosmetology has been featured on MLive, the Grand Rapids Business Journal, and WZZM

Veronica Quintino-Aranda,
GROW Parnter Award

Veronica s a long-standing GROW board member and very much involved in the Hispanic Community here in West Michigan. She is tireless in her work in the community and dedicated to representing GROW in the community. She is the chair of our communications and engagement committee among all of her other work throughout West Michigan. Veronica was recently named part of the Leadership Grand Rapids 2019/20 class. She is a Community Liaison Officer at Michigan State University Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Center for Contextual Factors in Alzheimer’s Disease.
